Ella--Homeschool--Class of 2026

Class of 2026, Cantigny, Homeschool, KFP Creative Team, North Aurora, Senior

Ella’s Class of 2026 senior session was one of those unforgettable summer shoots that perfectly captured both her personality and her journey. We met in July for a late-morning-to-afternoon session, fully aware we’d be chasing the strongest sun of the day—but also the vibrant energy that comes with it. And honestly, it couldn’t have suited Ella better.

We began in front of Moves Dance Studio, a place that holds special meaning for her as the starting point of her love for dance. There was something really full-circle about photographing her there during her senior year—graceful, confident, and completely in her element. She even brought along her pointe shoes, which added such a personal and artistic touch to the session.

From there, we wandered to a park just across the street, where the greenery gave us a softer, more relaxed backdrop. Ella changed through several of her four outfits, each one reflecting a different side of her personality—from elegant and poised to casual and carefree.

Our final stop was Cantigny Park in Winfield, where the gardens were in full summer bloom. It was the perfect setting to wrap up the session, giving us a mix of classic and natural portraits to round out her gallery beautifully.

Now, let’s talk about the weather—because July definitely showed up. It was hot, humid, and at times a bit relentless. But we came prepared! Ella’s mom truly saved the day with customized neck fans for all of us, and we kept plenty of water on hand to stay cool and energized. Despite the heat, Ella handled it like a pro and never let it slow her down.

Beyond the photos, what made this session even more meaningful was learning about Ella’s path. She has chosen a homeschooling journey, allowing her to work at her own pace and shape her education in a way that fits her goals. During her senior year, she even began taking college courses online—an incredible step toward her passion for working with children with special needs. That dedication and heart truly shine through in who she is.

Ella’s session was more than just a senior shoot—it was a celebration of her story, her passions, and everything she’s working toward. I’m so excited to see where her journey takes her next.
